New Releases — Films currently in theaters
Little Children
Kate Winslet in a film that should be panned
About her tryst with a married man
They both have kids
So no one wins
This stinker turns out to be really bland
GPA: 1.3
New Releases — Films currently released on DVD
The Departed
Jack, Leo and Alec pair with Scorcese
With all of this talent, they still don't get lazy
After you watch, it will be quite clear
That this is the best of the year
If you don't see it, you must be crazy
GPA: 4.0
Little Miss Sunshine
It follows a family on a long road trip
Full of yelling and laughter and one-line quips
Alan Arkin steals the show
But wouldn't you know
Abigail Breslin has the funniest bits
GPA: 3.6
In the library — These movies are available at the St. Michael's Durick Library
Lord of War
Nick Cage is an arms dealer bound for glory
And the anchor in this uneven story
The production is sleek
But this one's not for the weak
It's portrayal is quite gory
GPA: 2.9
Junebug
This film's a little-seen indie
About an art dealer leaving the big city
Amy Adams is amazing
She'll have your heart racing
Junebug's as emotional as a movie can be
GPA: 3.6
The Barbarian Invasions
People gather to see a friend before he dies
They expose a lot of secrets and lies
But before the man departs
He'll win over your heart
And you'll find it really hard not to cry
GPA: 3.8
