Vermonters strapped on their snowshoes and cross-country skis on a snowy March 1 to participate in the fifth annual Nordic Relay for Life in Stowe, Vt. While this is the only event of its kind, the American Cancer Society (ACS) hosts these relays across the country. They raise money and awareness for cancer prevention and fund-raising goes toward cancer research. This year raised about $64,000.(Watch)
