E-mail responses: the writer's foe The big problem of e-mail interviews It’s 9 p.m. on a Wednesday night and I hear one of my Echo editors tell me for the 10th time this semester, “my source will only give an e-mail interview.” I throw my hands up in exasperation and yell. A few on-campus sources are holding a grudge about mistakes that past students have made and stipulating that they will only comment through e-mail. It isn’t fair to punish a new group of Echo students, who, in the first line of their mission statement, appeal to accuracy.
