Wyclef Article, Source of State Radio Concert Funding Kyle Chadburn| WWPV Station Manager, Class of '08 Contrary to what was stated by Colin McSherry in the Wyclef article on March 12th, WWPV's very slight increase in budget is not what made the State Radio concert possible. WWPV's strong fundraising efforts, supported by the students of SMC, won $5,000 through the myTracks.com Campus Challenge competition. This money is what made the concert a possibility. Also, the State Radio radio is not affiliated with the P-Day events sponsored by the SA although it is happening on P-Day weekend. Thanks.
March 5th Day of Reverence Column Laurie Gagne | Director, Edmundite Center for Peace and Justice I want to congratulate you on a very good editorial on the issue of class cancellation for important events like the Iraq War program of last week. I liked the way you presented different positions on the subject, while being clear about your own point of view. I agree that the suffering of the Iraqi people calls for “reverence” in our approach to it. Thanks for doing a great job. |
