As the night started, students and faculty lined up and gave each other nervous smiles and handshakes. Later on that night they got to know each other better as feet were stepped on and bodies occasionally crashed into the walls, all to the flowing tune of an old-fashioned waltz which floated out of the radio on the floor.
On Tuesday March 20, the first ballroom dancing class of a four-week session took place in the International Commons. The class is being sponsored by the School of International studies and is taught by professional dance instructor Dave Larson. Throughout the course of the class, participating students and faculty will learn the foxtrot, waltz, salsa, and tango.
