But I don't want to take science!
Why LSRs truly define our education

It's registration time and as each student gets one semester closer to graduation, we groan as we tick off the Liberal Studies Requirements that we have yet to complete. Known to St. Michael’s students as LSRs, these requirements make up one third of our college education, and I admit to begrudgingly signing up for them each of the past six semesters. As I reflect on my education, however, I realize that LSRs have laid a strong foundation for my future both inside and outside this institution. While LSRs teach certain fields, the real importance comes from intellectual growth which extends beyond subject matter. (Read more)
